COMMUNITY > COMPETITION
Exposure is an inclusive community of women, trans, and non-binary individuals. We recognize and value the contributions that our non-traditional community makes to skateboarding and it is our intention to provide safe and inclusive spaces for competition and coming together.
IF YOU CHOOSE TO COMPETE IN OUR EVENT, YOU WILL BE COMPETING WITH OUR WHOLE COMMUNITY.

Poods Encinitas Skate Park, 425 Santa Fe Drive, Encinitas, California
Registration
Note: within each discipline (vert, bowl, street), you can only enter one division.
Please note that the street course this year is smaller. See below for details.
Bowl Practice Groups
Bowl practice is divided into groups. The practice groups will be posted here soon.

FRIDAY- 8am - 6pm: Vert Ramp Construction
- 8am - 6pm: Bowl and Street Open for Practice
- Bowl will have Scheduled Practice Groups
- 12pm - 4pm: Registration Open
- 8:30am: Registration and Practice
- 9am: Street Intermediate
- 50 skaters, 1 minute breaks between
- 3 skater jams, 3 minutes each
- Top 8 advance to Finals
- Finals immediately following
- Final jams: 2 skaters, 3 minutes
- Street course will be limited this year, see below
- 9am - 1pm: Vert Intermediate Practice
- 9am: Bowl Practice
- Please refer to Bowl Practice Groups
- 11am: Bowl Golden (30 & Up)
- Same format as below, without a separate Finals
- 11:30am: Bowl Intermediate
- Same format as below
- 1pm - 3pm: Vert Open/Pro Practice
- 12:30pm: Bowl Advanced
- 25 skaters, 2 minute breaks between
- Organized jams of 5
- 3 runs, 40 seconds each
- Skate until you fall
- Best run is scored
- Top 8 advance to one Finals jam
- Finals immediately following, same format
- Immediately following:
- $1,000 Longest Frontside Grind
- $1,000 Longest Backside Grind
- $1,000 Longest Slide
- No 50-50’s, any other slide/grind will count
- 3pm: Vert Intermediate Warm-Ups
- 3:30pm: Vert Intermediate
- 20 skaters, 2 minute breaks between
- Organized jams of 5
- 3 runs, 30 seconds each
- Skate until you fall
- Best run is scored
- Immediately Following: $1,000 Vert Highest Air Backside, $1,000 Triple 8 Vert Highest Air
- 5:15pm: Awards
SUNDAY
- 8:30am: Registration
- 9am: Vert Open/Pro Practice
- 9am: Street Advanced
- 50 skaters, 1 minute breaks between
- 3 skater jams, 3 minutes each
- Top 8 advance to Finals
- Finals immediately following
- Final jams: 2 skaters, 3 minutes
- Street course will be limited this year, see below
- 10am: Street Open/Pro
- 36 skaters, 1 minute breaks between
- 2 skater jams, 3 minutes each
- Top 8 advance to Finals
- 3, 1 min runs, best counts
- Street course will be limited this year, see below
- Immediately Following: Street Best Trick, open to everyone (obstacle TBD)
- $1,500 Cash For Tricks, distributed to individuals who land worthy, personally-challenging tricks, plus overall "Best Trick" of the session gets $1,500
- 12:30pm: Bowl Open/Pro
- 25 skaters, 2 minute breaks between
- Organized jams of 5
- 3 runs, 40 seconds each
- Skate until you fall
- Best run is scored
- Top 8 advance to Finals jam
- Finals immediately following
- Same format, but no timed runs in Finals
- After 40 seconds a bail/fall does not count against you
- 2pm: Vert Open/Pro
- 18 skaters, 2 minute breaks between
- Organized jams of 6
- 4 runs, 30 seconds each
- Skate until you fall
- Best run is scored
- Top 8 advance to Finals
- Finals immediately following
- Same format, but no timed runs
- After 30 seconds a bail/fall does not count against you
- Immediately following: Vans Vert Best Trick, open to everyone
- $1,500 Cash For Tricks, distributed to individuals who land worthy, personally-challenging tricks, plus overall "Best Trick" of the session gets $1500
- 4:30pm: Awards
- 4:55pm: Hard stop time
Judging Criteria
- Performance is judged on overall impression of skater in jam or run
- Judges analyze the following elements when scoring:
- Commitment, creativity, and use of entire ramp/bowl/course and features
- Distance traveled through air, slides, or grinds
- Speed, style, flow, and power
- Lines carry weight, but innovation and difficulty are rewarded
